There is scarcely anything in America that is esteemed so useful and valuable as the orchard.”

Zechariah Harwood – Original founder of the orchard on “Apple Hill,” now Terry’s Orchard

Terry’s Orchard has been in continuous cultivation since 1776. It’s founders, the Harwood family, developed the orchard and accompanying cider business as a family operation, continuing through four generations for 182 years.

Today, the fourth owners of the trees on “Apple Hill” continue the legacy of the family run orchard.

During apple season come with family and friends to experience the novelty of walking through this historic orchard, picturesquely set atop Harwood Hill, overlooking the valley of Bennington and the Bennington monument. During fall foliage, the view from the orchard is a sight to behold.

Bags for picking can be purchased at the store prior to going out in the orchard. See our You Pick page for more details and this year’s Covid-19 Regulations.

We are CLOSED for the season.

Thank you to everyone who came and made this season a great one! It is our privilege to serve our community with fresh fruit and local goodies. We look forward to seeing you next fall!
